Windgap Medical, Inc. is a rapidly-growing, private company developing injection devices and optimized formulations for self-administration of pharmaceutical compounds. Windgap’s first product is a wet/dry autoinjector for the anaphylaxis market, delivery epinephrine for the treatment of anaphylactic shock. Long-term, Windgap seeks to leverage its injectable platform for other indications beyond epinephrine.
Company History
Windgap Medical started with a conversation between the founders and patients to determine what opportunities there were for improvement in the epinephrine autoinjector market. We grew a team and worked with outside partners to turn our list of opportunities into a compelling drug/device and a pilot production line to make it. The growing Windgap team will take the same approach to new opportunities with other APIs into valuable solutions for patients and healthcare providers. Windgap raised its first round in 2014 mostly from New England-based angel groups, led by Launchpad. It has since closed additional equity investment and slated for rapid growth.
