Evidera, a PPD business unit, is a leading provider of real-world research and evidence-based solutions to
demonstrate the real-world effectiveness, safety, and value of biopharmaceutical and biotechnology products.
We offer multidisciplinary scientific and consulting expertise to design and conduct studies, analyze data and
communicate outcomes, combined with PPD's full global operational infrastructure to manage and implement
both interventional and observational studies.
We provide our clients with expertise and insight across the entire development continuum of a product, from
early development through loss of exclusivity. We engage with regulators and payers early in the development
process to create a robust evidence strategy that will meet the needs of all relevant stakeholders. Evidera can
also help with the seamless integration and alignment of regulatory and post-approval research efforts, creating
a smooth transition from Phase III to Phase IIIb/IV and real-world research, improving our clients' ability to meet
the evidence demands of all stakeholders and optimize the market access and commercial potential of their
products.
Evidera has one of the largest dedicated global teams in the industry, including over 1,000 medical affairs study
operations professionals and approximately 500 epidemiologists, health economists, outcomes researchers,
medical writers, and market access consultants in locations around the world. Our scientific and consulting staff
are methodological and thought leaders who have deep relationships with stakeholders across the health care
ecosystem, including the FDA, EMA, health technology assessment (HTA) bodies, payers, providers, academia,
and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Our experts have contributed to hundreds of submissions to
payers and regulators, and have published over 2,200 peer-reviewed articles dating back nearly 30 years.
Company History
Evidera was acquired by PPD in 2016 and originally created in 2013 as an independent company under the ownership of Symphony Technology Group following the acquisition of long-standing health economics, outcomes research, market access, epidemiology, and data analytics practices from United BioSource Corporation (UBC). Evidera has over 30 years of leadership and experience and its legacy brands include MEDTAP, Caro Research, Abt Bio-Pharmaceutical Solutions, MetaWorks, Total Healthcare Group, and Archimedes.
