Company Overview
CytoTronics is a tech-bio startup building a drug discovery engine based on a proprietary semiconductor-bio interface platform. Our technology is spun out from a multi-disciplinary research project from three research groups at Harvard University spanning integrated circuit design, chemistry, and systems biology. By designing and developing cell culture plates with embedded high-density electronic systems, CytoTronics’ platform enables unique cell-culture information to be generated.
Our platform allows us to screen prospective drug compounds against parameters that were not possible before to generate novel discoveries. For example, quantifying morphological parameters like adhesion and attachment which have direct relevance to inflammation and epithelial diseases, metabolic state and apoptosis/necrosis information for cancer applications, and electrical and morphological parameters for cardiovascular or neurological diseases.
