Company Overview
Alpha-9 Oncology is a clinical stage, radiopharmaceutical company developing imaging and therapeutic molecules for solid and hematologic malignancies. We have multiple molecules that are headed into clinic within the next few years, and a robust pipeline of additional targets for future development. Using proprietary technology and the Company’s expertise, these differentiated molecules have the potential to meaningfully extend patients’ lives with favorable safety profiles.
Alpha-9 has deep expertise in the optimization of peptides, peptidomimetics, and small molecules for radiotherapeutic development. Our systemic approach is fueled by a rich toolkit that includes proprietary fluorine-labeling technology, novel chelators, and various binder and linker modifications (e.g., unnatural amino acids, structural modifications, and novel geometries).
For each target we develop molecules optimized for imaging, dosimetry and therapy. Imaging and dosimetry studies – cost effective, first-in-human studies with the target patient population – demonstrate proof-of-concept for the target while also providing valuable feedback on molecule design.
Company History
Alpha-9 was founded in 2019 by researchers from the University of British Columbia and BC Cancer, with the goal of improving the lives of patients affected by metastatic cancers.
